I started going to Triton in the summer of 2019 with my fiancé. He hadn’t worked out regularly in quite some time, and I was looking for a change to my usual workout routine. I’ve done CrossFit before, and honestly in the past it felt to me exactly like you’d expect given the stereotype…but Triton is not your stereotypical CrossFit gym. The Triton coaches care about so much more than how heavy you’re lifting – they care about your goals, your form, your recovery, and your health and happiness overall. Within a few weeks of starting our workouts at Triton, we had not only started to feel stronger but we had discovered that Triton was more than just a gym, it was an incredibly supportive community. For the first time in years, my fiancé, a former athlete, had found a space where he felt really good about getting in shape. They encourage you to try new things, add 10 more pounds to your bar, run a race…and they celebrate with you when inevitably you reach your goal. When the pandemic hit, Steve and Mel and the team went above and beyond – lending out equipment and hosting multiple zoom workouts per day. They also held virtual happy hours, scavenger hunts, yoga sundays, and outdoor workouts to keep our morale and our bodies strong. They supported their community in a way I never expected a gym would and have continued to do so since opening back up last summer. We love Triton and we are so grateful to be a part of this community!
